The quiet idea
How do we build the foundation that can carry us through change?
Mountain Spirit does not describe conquest or the achievement of a summit. It studies the less visible qualities that allow something to stand: accumulation, support, density and an inner foundation developed over time.
An Eastern reading
Foundation as a way of relating.
In our Eastern-inspired reading, the mountain is not valuable because it is higher than everything around it. Its presence comes from what has gathered beneath the visible surface. Stillness can be preparation; weight can become support.
